Graeme Bell - Professional
Graeme Bell our new Head Professional at Linlithgow Golf Club joins us from Fourseasons Golf Club in Dubai, where he has been the Academy Instructor for the past two years. He has also worked alongside the World renowned coaches Pete Cowen, Robert Baker and Claude Harmon and be fortunate enough to have worked with the current British Open and USPGA Champion Padraig Harrington.
Graeme turned professional in 2002 after completing his Bsc in Mathematics at the University of Stirling. In the first year of Graeme’s studies he was presented with the 2003 Scottish Assistant of the year award and in the 2006 Titliest Trainee of the Year Graeme was awarded sixth place in the UK.
FlightScope Radar System
FlightScope enables us to collate data about your equipment to determine where it is efficient in performance. The FlightScope Radar System accurately records the ball’s flight, giving true spin and launch data, unlike outdated launch monitor technology which only measures one or two camera stills at impact.
FlightScope will also measure club head flight path for a significant portion of it's travel and hence can provide far more data than just club head speed near the strike point. In fact, it can determine the speed profile of the club prior and post the strike point and can therefore claim to be one of the most accurate methods in determining true club strike speed.
This is how all tour professionals are fitted to golf clubs and now you have the opportunity to have your golf clubs tuned to your individual needs. Visit FlightScope more information.
Club Fitting
Golf club fitting is a major influence on playing good golf and differs from player to player. Graeme uses the saying, “You wouldn’t necessarily wear the same size of shoes as the person next to you, so why use the same golf clubs?”. Graeme’s holistic approach to coaching is reflected in his Custom Fitting, treating everyone as an individual and catering fro their individual needs. His believe is to fit the golf club round the player and not the player round the club. Graeme will also utilize his vast experience in Bio-Mechanics he gained when working in the TaylorMade Performance Lab in Dubai for 2 years. There he was responsible for teaching and fitting using a million dollar 3 Dimensional Motion Capture system, one of only 7 in the world.
Junior Golf
Junior golfers are the future custodians of our golf clubs and Graeme has been actively involved in teaching junior golf for many years. In 2004 he was selected by PGA Master professional ‘Luther Blacklock’ to take part in the Junior Golf + program at the 2004 British Open. He also was responsible for implementing the revolutionary Four Seasons Junior Development Program in Dubai.
